Making falafels: my objective was to showcase and understand the history and culture behind the celebrated entreé. Throughout my research, I developed four core questions that I needed to answer within my falafel debacle. These questions became the framework for four panels:

1. Chickpeas are the main ingredient for several falafel recipes. How did they end up as a main component?
   

2. How did falafels make their way to the United States?
   

3. Where did falafels come from, originally and is there confusion about its place of origin?
